I obtained an University Degree in Medicine and Surgery in Pavia, where I completed my medical western formation and I chose to get a specialization in Internal Medicine by Saint Matthew Policlinic. In these five years of specialization I could work in one of the most important hospitals at close contact with the most esteemed doctors and university professors, facing the most different illnesses.
This was an enthusiastic working experience that permitted me to recognize the best potentialities of western medicine, but also their lacks. My continuous research of a medical system that could fulfill said lacks addressed me to the study of Acupuncture and of the Chinese Traditional Medicine in the pertinent famous school in Milan.
My course had begun/started : the desire of a deeper and more completed knowledge of a omnicomprehensive medical system pushed/involved me to travel and look for new teachers and to learn the Chinese language and culture. I at once felt the necessity to a direct approach of the ancient texts belonging to the Chinese traditions without being defiled by any potential wrong or partial translations or not fully ones devoted to the clinic practice.
The study of said classic texts let me understand the importance of phytotherapy inside the Chinese Medicine: this is the reason that supported me to devote a longer and longer time toward the knowledge of Chinese herbs. The practice of acupuncture and of the Chinese pharmacopeia achieved simultaneously represent a powerful therapeutic instruments in the hands of an expert doctor and offers a more complete vision of the illness according to the tradition. The space relative to the phytotherapy in the classic texts is far superior than the acupuncture treatment: it is a totally different conception in comparison with the often limited western knowledge of the eastern medicine.
The research of a deep understanding of the abstruse Chinese medical system compelled me to achieve a lot of travels to Peking/Beijing and Nanking. When I was inside the heart of the Celestial Empire I could appreciate the wisdom and knowledge of the Chinese medicine and to discover, with a great disappointment, the changes acted by the Cultural Revolution that were unfortunately capable to destroy the more traditional acupuncture. My focal point could not be the spoiled Chinese Medicine used in the modern westernized Chinese hospitals.
The opportunity to reach that lost ancient tradition in the modern China occurred where I did not expect, that is in the U.S.A., where I found the proper expert man that was able to transmit a huge knowledge inherited by the very few survived masters from the Cultural Revolution.
Now Europe, U.S.A. and China are my frequent goals. The internal practice known in western countries with the generic “Qi Gong” and the martial arts are now faithful companions. My continuous work is devoted to an original Chinese medicine enriched by the comparison with the modern scientific procedures.
Patients come to the doctor’s trustfully because of his knowledge: during my daily practice I try to respect a millenarian tradition. An ancient medicine and modern practice, an endless travel.
